A strong rushing attack, helped Madison defeat Northern Heights in our featured area game of the week broadcast.
Colton Isch scored twice in the first quarter, before adding two more in the early moments of the second quarter.
The hot start would slow down for Madison, much in part to a physical resilience of Northern Heights. The score remained 30-0 at the half.
Northern Heights would have a drive stall out midway through the 3rd quarter, deep in Madison territory. Their defense capitalized with the field position forcing a safety.
A response by Madison proved to be too much for Northern Heights with a 63 yard run by Cruz Leiser, before two more scores by Isch forced the game too far out of reach.
Isch finished the game with 212 yards rushing, and 58 yards passing to go along with six scores. Leizer contributed 149 more yards on the ground.
Madison’s Head Nate Teichgraeber contributed his big men up front for setting the done for his offensive approach.
Northern Heights (2-3) was led offensively by Cooper Woodrow with 170 yards of total offense.
They will play Yates Center next week while Madison (3-2) welcomes Lyndon.
