The Emporia State volleyball team is opening up their season at White Auditorium Friday night and a new, yet familiar voice will be behind the microphone. KVOE’s Tagan Trahoon is beginning his second season as the full-time public address announcer at White Auditorium after taking over last year for KVOE General Manager Ron Thomas after his run of over 25 years as the PA voice of Emporia State basketball games. Trahoon had served as the PA announcer for ESU volleyball prior to taking on the added responsibility of basketball games last year. Trahoon calls it a dream come true to be on the mic at games in his home town.
The Lady Hornet home schedule starts tonight against Pittsburg State.
