Charges against an Emporia business owner have been dismissed in Jackson County.
Justin Hensley was initially charged with rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated battery after an incident this past December. On Thursday, Judge Norbert Marek dismissed the rape, sodomy and battery charges. The kidnapping count had been dismissed in April.
Trial for Hensley, the owner of Gene’s Quik Lube at 310 West Sixth, was set to begin as soon as Oct. 15.
