The Emporia State soccer team played to a 1-all tie on Sunday afternoon at the FHSU Soccer Stadium in Hays, Kan. FHSU scored just six minutes into the match and led 1-0 at the break. Just two minutes into the second, it was the Lady Hornets’ turn to get on the board on a goal by Hadlie Lowe on an assist by Sade Lee. FHSU outshot ESU 11-9 in the game but had just two shots on goal to Emporia State’s five. E-State had seven corner kicks to just one for the Tigers but could not capitalize. ESU (3-3-2, 1-1-1 MIAA) returns home to face Pittsburg State Friday. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. at the ESU Soccer Pitch.
