Court processes have started for one of two Oklahoma City residents arrested last week on suspicion of drug distribution in Morris County.
Bryce Laray Smith, age 19, had his first appearance in Morris County District Court on Wednesday. He has a preliminary status hearing at 10:30 am Monday.
Smith and 19-year-old Arnold Dean were arrested Sept. 30 after a vehicle stop and related probable-cause search on US Highway 77. Deputies say they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Since the arrests, Smith has been charged with distributing a small amount of marijuana, as well as possessing marijuana and paraphernalia. Smith is also charged with speeding, driving with an expired or no registration and driving without a license.
Dean has not been charged.
