Lyon County Commissioners have a pair of public hearings on their regular action meeting agenda Thursday morning.
Commissioners will hold a public hearing on a Community Development Block Grant for Southwick House. The hearing comes as Southwick has begun its better than $3 million capital campaign to support the construction of a new transitional housing facility at 115 East Logan Avenue.
The exact amount of the grant has not been announced. Separately, commissioners will hold a public hearing for the vacation of a portion of County Road 320 west of Road L.
Commissioners will also consider approving a bid from Mitchell Markowitz Construction for jail plumbing fixtures totaling more than $636,000. They will also submit a purchase request for a 2023 Chevy Colorado from D&T Auto for the Lyon County Appraiser’s office totaling more than $24,900.
Two executive sessions, one for non-elected personnel and one for legal matters, are also scheduled. The meeting begins at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
