A man facing over 20 counts of child sexual exploitation in Lyon County will return to District Court for a hearing next month.
The preliminary hearing in the case against Adam David Chestnut, age 51 of Americus, was held Tuesday. As part of the hearing, Judge Jeff Larson set Nov. 6 for a status conference. Judge Larson also adjusted bond conditions at defense request, expanding on the original terms of a GPS monitor and directives to not leave Lyon County and to surrender any passports to include monitoring of any device that can connect to the Internet along with no access to inappropriate websites.
The bond amount remains at $150,000.
Charges were filed in July after Chestnut allegedly had “visual depictions” of at least one child under the age of 18 engaged in sexually explicit conduct, with the alleged activity stretching from December 2023 through this past January.
