With Emporia’s Street Rehab project wrapping up, the city is now moving onto its Street Preservation work.
The project begins over the next week and involves construction zones on almost 15 streets. The list can be found below.
Street Preservation is different from Street Rehab in that the preservation project deals with crack seals and chip seals, while Street Rehab handles a full repavement, along with curb and gutter, sidewalks and handicapped-accessible ramps.
Work could last into mid-November.
