The Emporia State soccer team had its best offensive game of the season with four first half goals on the way to a 4-2 victory over Missouri Southern Sunday at the ESU Soccer Pitch in Emporia. The Lady Hornets started quickly with Megyn Mahloch getting ESU on the board less than three minutes into the game on an assist by Ava Smith. Less than 10 minutes later, Mahloch scored another point by assisting Hadlie Lowe on a goal. Aubree Blackman made it 3-0 on dish from Abby Bachman less than five minutes later before Madeline Bracy found the back of the net with less than six minutes to go in the first half. Southern scored twice in the second half. ESU outshot the Lions 18-8 and 9-5 in shots on goal. E-State (4-4-2, 2-2-1 MIAA) begins a four-game road trip Friday at Rogers State. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
