Halloween is fast approaching.
If haunted houses are your thing, you have two good options near Emporia, including the 32nd haunted house at Neosho Rapids. Organizer Tom Riley says there is a definite traffic flow for the event, starting at the Neosho Rapids Community Building.
Activities are Saturday, Oct. 25 and Oct. 26.
Meanwhile, the Chase County Old School Development has its fourth annual haunted house Oct. 25-26. Spokesperson Lee Anne Coester says the space is conducive to serious hauntings.
There will also be a not-scary “mini-scare” room available for $5, along with a bonfire and s’mores packets available. Activities are from 7-11 pm.
