Chase County improved to 5-2 on the season, defeating Northern Heights 52-6 behind a well balanced offensive approach.
Guthrie Danford scored from 55 yards out to begin the nights scoring two minutes into the contest.
With 7:21 left in the first Wyatt Griffin would find Luke Budke, for the first of 3 touchdown combinations between the pair in the first half.
An electric scorer, Budke would also return a punt for a score to give Chase County a 44-0 halftime lead.
Budke credited his quarterback’s delivery in allowing him to find the end zone tonight.
Northern Heights would breakthrough for their only score of the game early in the third quarter behind a Cooper Woodrow pass to Leo DeDonder for three yard touchdown.
The ensuing drive by Chase County would prove to be the last, as Griffin found the end zone again to force the mercy rule with 6:20 to play in the third.
Chase County’s Head Coach Derick Budke was pleased with how his team was able to spread the wealth.
Chase County and Madison square off next week with their undefeated district records, while Northern Heights will look to regroup against Lyndon.
