USD 421 Lyndon has confirmed the recent arrest of Superintendent Brad Marcotte.
According to a statement from the district sent to KVOE News Saturday afternoon, Marcotte was arrested by the Osage County Sheriff’s Office Friday afternoon on suspicion of child endangerment and obstruction. According to a report from WIBW Marcotte was allegedly released from jail later in the day.
After learning of the situation, the 421 Board of Education convened Friday evening and voted to place Marcotte on administrative leave with no pay pending a full investigation by local authorities which the district is cooperating with fully. Formal charges and further details have not been announced, however, the district says no students were harmed and parents with any concerns are invited to contact their building principal or Board of Education President Bryant Derely directly.

USD 421 Lyndon’s superintendent was reportedly arrested Friday evening in Osage County.
According to a report from WIBW, Superintendent Brad Marcotte was allegedly taken into custody on charges of child endangerment and interference with law enforcement. Further details have not been announced.
