The Emporia State volleyball team claimed its third straight win with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-14 victory over Missouri Southern at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center in Joplin, Mo. Saturday. The first set was tight before the Lady Hornets ended the frame on a 9-3 run. ESU clinched the second scoring five of the last six points of the frame to take a 2-0 lead. ESU had its best offense in the third hitting .310 while holding the Lions to just seven kills with seven errors to cinch up the sweep. Rayishon Jackman led a balanced offensive attack with a double-double totaling 11 kills and 12 digs while freshman Mia Frisbie dominated the net with six blocks. ESU (14-5, 6-3 MIAA) has the week off before hosting Washburn Saturday in the Turnpike Tussle. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m. at White Auditorium.
