Abundant Harvest has adjusted its food giveaway and meal pick-up times.
Food giveaways will be at 8:30 am weekdays and 5:30 pm Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Spokesman Josh Graves, a guest on KVOE’s Newsmaker segment Monday, says this is a need-based adjustment.
The times are all based on whether food is available, and that availability– whether it’s the kind of food or the amount — varies by the day, if any is available at all.
Hot meal pick-up remains on the Abundant Harvest schedule, taking place at 4 pm Mondays and Wednesdays.
This comes as the Emporia Rescue Mission and Shiloh Home of Hope are gearing up for the winter months. Shiloh needs baby, infant and toddler clothes and coats, as well as baby formula. The Rescue Mission needs men’s winter clothing, including coats.
Financial donations are also encouraged for all three charitable organizations.
