An Osage County business is getting a federal grant for renewable energy.
The US Department of Agriculture says Controlled Environmental Warehousing LLC of Osage City will get almost $132,000 to buy and install a 144.4 kilowatt solar energy system. USDA says this will replace over 205,000 kilowatt hours per year, or enough energy to power 18 homes.
Funding for this and six other projects across Kansas is part of the USDA’s Rural Development program. This funding is designed to improve energy efficiency for the selected partners.
