The Emporia State men’s and women’s basketball teams gave Hornet Nation a preview of the season at the 2024 edition of Late Night at White Thursday night at White Auditorium. The events included a scrimmage by both teams, a dunk contest for the men, Faith Paramore winning her second-straight 3-point competition, and a dance off between the two teams that was dominated by the Lady Hornets. Second-year women’s head coach Brian Ostermann said it was a great way to get ready for the season.

The ESU men open with an exhibition Saturday at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita to take on Wichita State. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. and pregame coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. on the Hornet Sports Network. Listen on the flagship Mix 104.9. Both teams start their regular season with a multi-day event at the Hillyard Tip-off Classic in St. Joseph, Mo. beginning November 8.
