One person was hurt and hospitalized after a crash in west Emporia early Thursday.
The wreck happened at 12th and Industrial and was reported just after 5 am. Emporia Police Sgt. Dominick Vortherms says a pickup truck was northbound on Industrial, while a motorized scooter was eastbound on 12th. The truck had the right-of-way, but the scooter went into the intersection and the two vehicles collided.
Vortherms says the scooter driver was taken to Newman Regional Health with unknown injuries. There is no report of injuries to the truck driver. Names have not been released.
Officers had not determined whether to file a citation against the scooter driver as part of the on-site report.
