The Emporia State soccer team gave up two first-half goals and fell 2-0 to Central Missouri at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg, Mo. on Sunday. UCM got on the board less than nine minutes into the match before scoring again just under 20 minutes later. UCM dominated the offense in the game outshooting the Lady Hornets 22-3 overall and 9-2 in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Nagi Kawahata had seven saves for ESU. UCM turned up the pressure after halftime with nine corner kicks in the second half. Sade Lee, Abby Bachman, and Ella Ruliffson each had shots for ESU. E-State (5-7-2, 3-5-1 MIAA) returns home Friday to host Missouri Western. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. at the ESU Soccer Pitch.
