Ongoing work on the Emporia Police Department lobby means a closure of Emporia Municipal Court later this week.
The city says Municipal Court will be closed both Friday and Monday, Nov. 4.
Lobby renovations continue for Emporia Police, which has included a short-term closure of the lobby earlier this month. Police Chief Ed Owens has said the lobby hasn’t had major renovations since the 1950s. Estimated cost is around $300,000, with work ending by mid-December.
