The verdict is in following two days worth of deliberations in a Lyon County attempted first-degree murder case.
Travis Wade Westcott was found not guilty of attempted first-degree murder Tuesday following two days of jury deliberations. Westcott was found guilty, however, of an alternate count of reckless aggravated battery and violating a protective order.
A sentencing date is currently pending. Westcott was facing more than 20 counts in total including aggravated kidnapping, aggravated witness intimidation, stalking and criminal threat dating stemming from illegal activity between March 2020 and May 2023.
Westcott is also facing a charge of aggravated intimidation in a separate case dating back to December 2023. He has a trial status hearing Nov. 13 in that case, with trial set to start either Nov. 18 or Dec. 16.
