Volume II of Beyond the Banners is coming — appropriately — on Veterans Day.
Residents can pre-order copies now by going online to beyondthebanners.com. Cost is $10 per book or $25 for three books, and residents can choose whether they want to pick up the books in person at the Emporia Main Street office, 727 Commercial, or have them shipped.
On KVOE’s Morning Show on Wednesday, Main Street Director Casey Woods said the book captures information provided as part of Main Street’s Veterans Banner project that started in 2014 and has since spread to many parts of the country.
This follows the first volume, which was released in 2017. Main Street, IM Design and KVOE are partnering on this project. Proceeds support local veterans initiatives.
Residents with questions can call Emporia Main Street at 620-340-6430. Residents wanting the books shipped can expect them in hand by early December, if not sooner.
