The Emporia High football team saw its season end against Eisenhower on Thursday night, 55-10 at Goddard District Stadium.
Eisenhower scored 28 points in the first quarter with three touchdowns by North Dakota commit Carter Pabst. Pabst added two more touchdowns in the second quarter before Emporia High got on the board with no time left on a 29-yard field goal by Corbin B’Hymer. Eisenhower got the lone score in the third quarter making it 49-3. Emporia High scored with 6:55 remaining on a 2-yard touchdown run by Micah Gray. Eisenhower tacked on one final touchdown with 2:55 to play.
Emporia High recorded 270 yards of total offense with Gray throwing for 146 yards on 15 of 22. Javen Arndt was the Spartans’ top target with four receptions of for 46 yards.
Emporia High finishes the season with an 0-9 record and graduates 12 seniors from this year’s team.
