The Emporia State women’s volleyball team staved off the Fort Hays State Tigers for a 25-22, 21-25, 29-27, 25-19 victory at White Auditorium in Emporia on Friday. ESU locked in offensively hitting over .333 in each of the last two sets on the way to hitting .286 for the match. Weronicka Wrzesinska led the offense with 22 kills while Camilla Ossola added 18. Rayishon Jackman led the team with 19 digs and also had 12 kills for a double-double while Wrzesinska also earned a double-double with 17 digs. The Lady Hornets (16-7, 8-5 MIAA) are back at home Saturday to host #6 Nebraska-Kearney for Senior Night. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. at White Auditorium.
