A Melvern man was arrested Friday morning on suspicion of illegal drug activity.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says the arrest happened shortly after 9 am Friday in the 300 block of South Enderton in Melvern. Wells says a K-9 unit made contact with a person known to have an unspecified felony warrant. As the suspect, 34-year-old Joshua Franks, was being taken into custody, Wells says illegal narcotics were found on Franks.
Following his arrest, Franks was booked on suspicion of methamphetamine distribution and the warrant. Formal charges are pending.
