The USD 251 North Lyon County Board of Education will discuss capital outlay and school improvements at its upcoming meeting.
Board members will discuss the KESA 2.0 accreditation and school improvement model announced this past April. The new statewide model is designed to let school districts check for student progress several times a year, with districts submitting action plans to the Kansas State Department of Education by the end of the current academic year in June 2025.
Separately, the board will get the regular update on capital outlay items. Most of the district’s to-do list is already completed, with several projects at Northern Heights either awaiting equipment or scheduled to take place later this school year.
Board members will also get financial and legislative reports.
Wednesday’s meeting begins at 6 pm at the USD 251 board office in Americus.
