A Le Roy man was hospitalized following a rollover accident in Coffey County Tuesday morning.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, the accident occurred at the junction of US Highway 75 and Kansas Highway 58 just after 10:30 am. KHP reports that a 2007 International Semi, driven by 23-year-old Tyton G. Burton, was westbound on K58 when he failed to stop at a stop sign at US Highway 75.
Burton reportedly attempted to turn northbound onto US 75 and rolled the semi onto its driver’s side coming to a rest in the southbound lane of travel. Burton was taken to Coffey County Medical Center in Burlington with suspected minor injuries.
Burton was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
