Abnormally dry conditions still cover the KVOE listening area despite upwards of 7 inches of rainfall since late October. More rain is on the way for early in the week.
Rain is possible but unlikely Sunday afternoon. Rain is now likely Sunday night through Monday, with the prospect of around 2 inches of rain commonplace areawide by Monday night.
How the expected rainfall impacts the next report from the US Drought Monitor on Thursday is to be determined. Area residents had to deal with moderate drought as part of the Drought Monitor’s report on Halloween. Rain through Nov. 5 helped to improve the area’s drought conditions.
