An Emporia man has been charged with mistreating a dependent adult or elder person.
Jacob Lee Leiszler was arrested Nov. 8 and subsequently charged with two counts of mistreatment, one for alleged physical jury, unreasonable confinement or unreasonable punishment and the other for allegedly taking between $25,000 and $100,000 from the alleged victim.
The physical mistreatment count also has an alternate count of aggravated battery.
Leiszler had his first appearance last week in Lyon County District Court and will have his preliminary hearing Dec. 11.
