One person was hurt during a wreck in north Lyon County on Tuesday afternoon.
Lyon County Deputy Dylan Jacobs says the wreck happened at the junction of Roads 330 and K shortly before 4:30 pm and involved a pickup and car. The pickup driver, 58-year-old Christie Wyda of Admire, apparently could not remember most of the events leading up to the crash but remembers wearing a seatbelt and traveling the speed limit.
The car driver, 30-year-old Dakota Gibson of Allen, says he was northbound and could not stop in time to avoid a wreck due to muddy road conditions. Gibson also says his car hit the truck’s passenger side rear wheel, causing it to spin and roll onto its top.
Wyda was taken to Newman Regional Health with suspected minor injuries. Gibson was not hurt.
Deputies are investigating. Jacobs says it does not appear either vehicle slowed down as they got close to the intersection.
