The Emporia State volleyball team had four players receive All-MIAA distinction following the 2024 season. Senior outside hitter Weronika Wrzesinska was named to the first team while Rayishon Jackman was on the second team and was voted the Freshman of the Year. Wrzesinska earned first team awards unanimously after leading the Lady Hornets with 363 kills while hitting .245 this season. Jackman had 323 kills and led the team with 384 digs this season. Sophomore setter Brailee Bogle earned honorable mention recognition at setter after averaging just under 10 assists per set. Junior right side hitter Camilla Ossola also received honorable mention honors after tallying 235 kills and leading the team with a .253 hitting percentage. Nebraska-Kearney and Central Oklahoma each led the way with seven all-league honors, but the Lopers cleaned up with five major awards. UNK head coach Rick Squiers was the Coach of the Year. The Lady Hornets begin postseason play Thursday as the No. 6 seed in the first round of the MIAA Tournament facing No. 3 seed Central Oklahoma. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the St. Joseph Civic Arena.
