One potential trial setting for a man accused of vehicular murder in Lyon County last year was removed this week.
Adonis Dailey was tentatively set for trial to begin Monday in his case. Instead, potential trial start dates of Dec. 16 and Jan. 13 remain on the docket.
Dailey was originally charged with single counts of first-degree murder and flee and elude following a crash that killed one man in late April of 2023 near the Emporia tollgate on the Kansas Turnpike. An alternate flee and elude count was added to the list of charges at the request of prosecutors back in late July.
The crash was allegedly the result of a supposed chase involving the Kansas Highway Patrol. Dailey was allegedly driving at speeds at or above 125 mph during the chase.
