A Florida man is spending the next year under probation as part of a case that began with charges of drug distribution and ended with a plea for paraphernalia possession.
Seth Kindt of Inglis, Florida, pleaded no contest to possessing paraphernalia with intent to manufacture, plant or cultivate a controlled substance as part of an agreement made with prosecutors in September. He received one year of probation, an underlying prison term of 11 months and 12 months postrelease supervision as part of sentencing earlier this month. Probation was the presumptive sentence for the paraphernalia charge.
Kindt and his father, Duff Kindt of Stout, Ohio, were arrested in late February after a traffic stop near Strong City — allegedly with over 10 pounds of marijuana, unspecified grow operation items and two firearms in their possession. Charges against Duff Kindt were dropped in September at the same time Seth Kindt finalized his plea agreement.
