There’s a new Wildcat on top of the Kansas State women’s basketball scoring record book. The #12 Wildcats continued to feast on mid-major competition by slaughtering Eastern Illinois 90-43 Tuesday at Bramlage Coliseum. The Cats led 20-7 at the end of the 1st quarter and were never threatened. K-State held the Panthers to just 28% shooting in the game. KSU shot 55% from the field and hit 11 of 20 3-pointers with five Wildcats scoring in double figures. Zyanna Walker led the way with 16 points while Ayoka Lee scored 15 points in 18 minutes to become the all-time leading scorer in Kansas State history passing Kendra Wecker’s 2,333 points. KSU is back in action on Thursday against USC-Upstate. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m.
