Newman Regional Health has a busy December ahead when it comes to community events.
The annual Cookies for Claus is from 8 am to 1 pm Dec. 17. The fundraiser includes cookies and other sweet treats as well as raffles as Newman Regional Volunteers raises funds for healthcare scholarships.
The hospital also has a community-wide Santa Stop on Dec. 19, where people can meet Santa, take photos and enjoy free hot cocoa and cookies. The Santa Stop is at the hospital’s main entrance from 6-7:30 pm. Residents attending the event are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army.
