TITLE: Operator 2 Logistics
LOCATION OF JOB: Hostess Plant
HOURS PER DAY: TBD
This position reports to: Logistics Manager & Logistics Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to follow instructions (written & verbal), safely and accurately complete assigned duties and maintain GMP standards. Duties include loading and unloading trucks, receiving raw materials and products, and picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, and/or shipping products using forklift and pallet jack. Maintain receiving/shipping logs and makes sure that incoming and outgoing products and material are in good condition. Move raw and packaging materials to the production area using the FIFO standard. In addition, the worker maintains the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse. Workers are required to lift to 50 pounds, walk or stand for most of the shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to operate a Forklift in a safe manner.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Receive material.
- Maintain receiving and shipping logs.
- Moving material.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass Fork Lift written test and driver test that is given by the company.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires high school diploma, or equivalent. Additional post-secondary education is preferred (i.e.: Technical or Vocational education) in areas of material handling, warehouse, distribution, packaging, etc.
Previous work experience in a manufacturing warehouse and/or distribution environment is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand (20%), walk (70%) and bend (10%) for 12 hours. Ability to lift approximately up to a maximum of
100 pounds (sack of flour), approximately 144 times per day from ankle to chest. Ability to reach from 2 ½ feet
approximately 540 times per day and up to 6 feet, approximately 72 times per day. May climb stairs and ladder. Performs repetitive motions, using the hands/arms approximately 800 times per day and the back (twisting), approximately 720 times per day. Ability to push/pull upper body 72 times per day and whole body 10 times per day. Shortening weigh approximately 50 lbs., dry ingredients weighs 100 lbs. and barreled ingredients weigh 400 lbs. (use hoist).

MACHINES/TOOLS USED:
Forklifts, electric and manual floor jacks, dollies, computer, pencil, markers, cardboard, bump hat, ear plugs, and hair net. Safety glasses are optional.
