CareArc is reaffirming its commitment to serving the needs of all patients in the wake of a recent ruling at the federal level earlier this week.
Monday, North Dakota Federal Judge Dan Traynor sided with a collation of Attorneys General from 19 states, including Kansas, which have filed a lawsuit to block a rule passed by the Biden Administration in May that allows Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients access to health coverage through the Affordable Care Act. Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, in a recent news release, called the action “A big win for the rule of law.”
According to Kobach, the rule would make more than 200,000 DACA recipients eligible for Obamacare. This includes more than 4,300 individuals in Kansas according to a separate release from CareArc issued Wednesday afternoon.
In his previously mentioned news release, Kobach stated “Congress never intended that illegal aliens should receive Obamacare benefits. Indeed, two laws prohibit them from receiving such benefits. The Biden administration tried to break those laws. But we fought back and defeated the Biden Justice Department.”
Wednesday, CareArc CEO Renee Hively stated in the health center’s news release, “Healthcare is a fundamental need, and at CareArc, we believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate and affordable care, no matter what their background or circumstances are. We will continue to see all patients, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay, and work with them to ensure they receive the care they need.”
With that in mind, CareArc is encouraging those who have been impacted by this decision to reach out to their team to discuss healthcare needs and find financial assistance options.
