Flint Hills Technical College is waiving enrollment fees for workers displaced by upcoming closures at both Holiday Resort and Tyson Foods.
Given the circumstances, the move was a simple one to take, according to Marketing and Public Relations Manager Ryann Brooks.
Affected workers can call Flint Hills Technical College at 620-343-4600, or stop by the main campus at 3301 West 18th. Brooks says the admission team will then help workers with paperwork and financial aid.
The waived enrollment fees, $100 under most circumstances unless they are cut in half during special Wrangler Enrollment Days, are valid for all the college’s programs of study until further notice.
This decision also dovetails with the college’s plans to stand up new training sessions, add cohorts and shift space to meet what could be a widespread demand for education and retraining.
