Formal charges are pending after a man allegedly fled from law enforcement in Emporia recently.
Lyon County Undersheriff John Koelsch says the alleged incident in question happened shortly after 6 pm Thursday. He says a deputy observed a vehicle make an unlisted number of traffic infractions, so the deputy began a traffic stop. However, the driver, later identified as 20-year-old Alexis Garcia-Nunez, fled south and made “frequent” maneuvers to try to elude the deputy. The incident ended in the 200 block of South State when Garcia-Nunez was arrested without further incident.
Garcia-Nunez was booked on suspicion of flee and elude, driving without a license and other traffic infractions.
