A job description for the next leader of the Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas could be ready to publicize early next year.
Following the RDA Board of Directors monthly meeting Friday, Board Chair Kala Maxfield said the board is working with the North Carolina-based search firm Jorgenson Pace for both the job description and the actual search. Maxfield says the position should be posted Jan. 1, with the goal of having a new president named and situated by May 1.
The new leader would supplant Jim Witt, who has held the title of interim president virtually all year after the resignation of Chuck Scott in January — and after Scott was placed on administrative leave in December 2023 for unspecified reasons.
