Newman Regional Health is celebrating after an outside entity noted its work towards patient care.
The Hospital Quality Improvement contractor COMPASS recently noted Newman Regional Health for its “unwavering commitment to patient safety and healthcare quality.” NRH Public Relations and Outreach Specialist Kacie Hastings says she sees that dedication every day.
The Hospital Quality Improvement Contractor network involves healthcare collaboratives in Kansas and Iowa, as well as the the Mississippi Hospital Association and South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations. For these kinds of announcements, the network focuses on opioid safety, patient safety and care transitions. COMPASS says noted hospitals have demonstrated “significant improvement” for different performance benchmarks, while the network has exceeded all goals laid out by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
