The Emporia State football team picked up additional honors Wednesday with two Hornets receiving All-American status from the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association. Wide receiver Tyler Kahmann received first team status while senior Jaaron Joseph was named to the second team. Kahmann is now a consensus First Team All-American after also picking up the nod from the Associated Press. Kahmann is a two-time first team All-Region pick after ending his career with back-to-back 100-reception seasons with at least 1000 yards and 20 touchdowns. It is the first All-American honor for Joseph who was named First Team All-MIAA after setting a program record with 16 pass breakups last year. He led the MIAA and was second in the nation in passes defended with 18. The Hornets wrapped up the year 7-4, ESU’s third straight season with at least seven wins.
