Money from the Sertoma club will benefit a local organization helping cancer pqatients.
The Emporia Sertoma Club says it recently received a 2024 Sertoma Club grant of $2,000. That money is being turned over to the June Bug Cancer Foundation, which eases the financial burden of cancer patients by offsetting different expenses like food, transportation, lodging and acquiring medical equipment.
June Bug was set up in 2007 by Central Care Cancer Center employees locally, honoring June “June Bug” Sauder.
