An Emporia woman has taken the top leadership role with a statewide gun rights group.
Megan Hilbish, long known for her involvement in shooting sports, is now the executive director of Kansas State Rifle Association.
Hilbish says KSRA advocates for Second Amendment protections through legislative work, but it also organizes a number of shooting competitions.
Hilbish has competed in the World Championships and has qualified for another world-level event next year. She also been heavily involved in Twin Rivers Junior Shooting Sports.
