An Emporia woman was hurt in a crash on the Kansas Turnpike on Thursday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 11:20 am at mile marker 163.9 in Osage County. Troopers say 25-year-old Alexa Houston was driving a car southbound and using cruise control when she lost control and hit the center barrier wall.
Houston suffered possibly minor injuries and was taken to Newman Regional Health for observation and possible treatment. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
Fog and mist were in the KVOE listening area at the time of the crash, but the Highway Patrol crash log entry makes no mention of those as possible contributing factors.
