A Christmas Eve call to law enforcement in northeast Osage County led to an arrest on suspected illegal drug activity.
Sheriff Chris Wells says deputies were alerted to a suspicious vehicle near Green Acres Pizza & Sub, about 10 miles east-northeast of Lyndon, shortly before 6:20 pm Tuesday. Wells also says responding deputies saw alleged illegal narcotics in plain sight.
Following that encounter, deputies arrested 42-year-old Thomas A Anderson of Quenemo on suspicion of distributing methamphetamine, possessing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia. Wells did not specify the amount of drugs during the arrest.
Formal charges are pending.
