Court proceedings are underway for two Emporia men accused of burglary.
Robert Shane Metcalfe had his first court appearance Thursday and was set for a preliminary hearing Jan. 14.
Rhett William Barker was scheduled for a hearing Thursday, but the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal says there was a bench warrant served on Barker — resetting his first court appearance to Jan. 6.
Both men are charged with single counts of residential burglary and criminal damage to property after an alleged incident this past weekend. Additional details have not been announced.
