Nearly a week after it happened, details are pending about a fatal fire in Morris County.
Fire developed at 103 Third Street in Latimer on Sunday, killing two people, including one-time Council Grove resident Susan Lynn White, according to White’s daughter, Zoe Laizure. Additional details are pending through the Morris County Sheriff’s Office. The Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office has been helping with the investigation.
Meanwhile, a relief effort has developed for White’s husband, Steven Glover, who lost all his possessions in the fire. Personal hygiene items like shampoo, conditioner, razors, shaving cream and deodorant are suggested.
Residents wanting to donate can drop off items at the Council Grove Pizza Hut, 15 North Union Street, or take them to 10 South Seventh in Council Grove.
