Thick fog is rolling through the KVOE listening area once again Saturday.
A dense fog advisory covers Lyon and all surrounding counties until 10 am with visibility limited to a quarter mile or less in some areas. Thick fog has been an issue for the area off and on since Christmas Day.
With the fog in place again, drivers are reminded to take certain precautions including slowing down, reducing their space between other vehicles and using low-beam headlights.
Once the fog clears by the mid to late morning hours, sunshine is expected to develop through the remainder of the weekend with unseasonably warm temperatures continuing. Saturday and Sunday both have a forecasted high in the upper 50s before cooler temperatures roll in by mid week with highs predicted in the mid to upper 40s by New Year’s Day.
