Beacon for Hope Suicide Prevention had a busy 2024, and itβs expecting more of the same β if not just more in general terms β in 2025.
Founder and longtime director Melissa Owen says this past year has borne fruit in several ways.
As Beacon for Hope gets ready for its annual Unmasking Suicide Masquerade Ball on Jan. 25, Owen says the need for services has been increasing β and not just for the holidays. Unmasking Suicide will be from 5-9 pm Jan. 25 at the Emporia Granada Theatre, with a dance, door prizes, a silent raffle, catered food from Las Catrinas, a candlelight vigil and the formal unmasking ceremony symbolizing the need to live without masks in our daily lives or personal relationships.
Information is available through hopelinks.org or the Beacon for Hope Suicide Prevention Facebook page.
