Winter weather has not graced any part of the KVOE listening area so far the last few weeks, but it is coming eventually.
With that in mind, the Kansas Department of Transportation has unveiled new features to both its KanDrive information website and mobile app. New features include:
*Alerts on high wind, low visibility and ice/snow road conditions.
*Operations on Amazon Alexa home speaker and app.
*Integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
*Enhanced detour information.
*Improved information about work zones.
Residents are encouraged to use KanDrive.gov or the KanDrive mobile app, available in the App Store or Google Play, whenever they have a trip scheduled or whenever poor weather may affect travel plans.
